Building a two-indicator confirmation checklist

Handwritten notes and calculator beside market materials

Crowded panes invite improvisation. A checklist keeps the eye honest. We ask students to limit themselves to two momentum tools plus price structure, then answer five questions before marking an entry zone.

Those questions cover trend or range context, the first oscillator’s state, the second oscillator’s agreement, the price level that would confirm acceptance, and the condition that would cancel the idea. If any answer is vague, the chart is not ready.

Write the checklist on paper the first month. Typing it into a notes app is fine later, but handwriting slows the urge to skip steps when a candle looks urgent.

Review the checklist after each study session. If you find yourself rewriting the same exception repeatedly, the rule needs tightening — not more indicators.
